Red Winser London Coat

Blonde in red coat

You already know I’m crazy about Winser London from my recent post.  I thought I’d briefly revisit the red coat for two reasons.  First, it is on sale!  Second, so many of you in real life and online have admired this coat, so I thought I’d show it styled up instead of down, like I did in the previous post.  I’m wearing this on repeat in this mild winter.  As a girl who is kind-of-but-not-really tall, I really appreciate its elegant length and proportions.  Since it is on sale, I might have to have the black version as well…

As I’m going with a vaguely 1980’s red and black theme with this outfit, it made sense to wear these ladylike tasselled Louboutin ‘Gwalior’ heels.  My previous pair of black suede heels died after 6 years of heavy wear, but they were SO comfortable and worn in that I hated to part with them.  I interviewed a lot of heels for the opening in my closet, and these won.  They don’t look very comfortable, but they are nicely balanced and surprisingly easy to wear.

What are you wearing on repeat lately?

    Dear Lisa,

I’m so delighted by your blog – You bring the best items. I have been searching for a coat that was sweater-like but could hold it’s shape and now, I have the black coat on it’s way to me.

And good news for your US readers, even though the shipping is hefty, it’s still less than the VAT you won’t have to pay 🙂

    Thanks again you fabulous babe!

Oh Vivian, I’m SOOO pleased! I adore this coat; you can’t imagine the mileage I’ve had out of it (hence my desire for the black one). That’s certainly a good point about the VAT and shipping… maybe I should start having things shipped to my mom!! You’re so welcome; enjoy it. I wish you well to wear it (on repeat, like I have). xx

        UPDATE:

Got a call from Aramark Customs …the coat comes with an additional 30% in customs duties; so no bargain on VAT 🙁 Still a very decent price.

It arrived today and is the loveliest embrace of a coat. Love the weave/knit; weight and line.

And that little bit of kid leather as your hand breaches the pocket… as kiss on the hand <3

I'd kill for this in teal.

thanks again for a great find
            xx

Oh, this ensemble. The gorgeous red coat with the red underbellies on the shoes peeking out. And there’s some perfection about this red. Vibrant but not bright? Could a short gal wear this lovely coat, do you think? My 5’2″ self loves long.

And write on, darlin’. You make us happy. You make us think differently.

You look so fantastic in that shade of red!!

On repeat for me lately: faux leather leggings. I have both suede and shiny versions. They are Ann Taylor, but look much cooler with the right ensemble.

      Thank you, Cynthia!

Faux leather leggings… now there is a hole in my wardrobe that I didn’t realise I had! I have faux leather skinny jeans and overalls, now I need some leggings! I can see how with a big sweater they’d be a perfect On Repeat item for winter. xx

Thank you, Mithra. I tend to overthink everything, and my wardrobe is no exception, lol! Aside from that, I just hate waste, so I only buy things I know I’ll get mileage out of. xx
